Special upgrade, higher performance! Samsung 970 EVO Plus solid-state drive new release!

2022-03-28

January 23, 2019-Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today launched the latest enhanced Samsung 970 EVO Plus for its non-volatile memory (NVMe)SSD product line.   WITh industry-leading performance and up to 2TB of super capacity, Samsung 970 EVO Plus sets a new standard for high-performance storage, making it easier for IT professionals, technology enthusiasts and gamers to handle intensive workloads on PCs and workstations.

"Since introducing the first NVMe SSD to the consumer market in 2015, Samsung has been making continuous efforts to break through the technical barriers in SSD design and performance," said Mike Mang, vice president of brand product marketing of Samsung Electronics Storage. "The new 970 EVO Plus is equipped with Samsung's latest fifth-generation V-NAND technology, and can provide incomparable performance for similar products when dealing with demanding tasks such as 4K content editing, 3D modeling and simulation, and large-scale rendering games."
Through seamless integration of the company's advanced V-NAND chips and optimized firmware, 970 EVO Plus achieved significant performance improvement-53% faster write speed [1]-and significantly improved efficiency over its predecessor 970 EVO.   The new drive has sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500 megabytes/second (MB/s) and 3,300 MB/s, respectively, while random speeds of up to 620,000 IOPS (read) and 560,000 IOPS (write) [2].
Because 970 EVO Plus has a compact M.2 form factor and PCIe Gen3 x4 interface used in most modern computers, users can easily upgrade their equipment.   970 EVO Plus also offers a five-year limited warranty [3] or up to 1200TBW (total bytes written) warranty [4].
970 evoplus has a variety of capacities to choose from;   250GB, 500GB and 1TB capacity models are now available worldwide and 2TB capacity models will be available in April.   For more information about 970 EVO Plus, including warranty details, please visit samsung.com/SSD or samsungssd.com.
